" Country: Scotland (UK) Education: University of Stirling, Scotland. Brunel University, London. Work experience: I have been an ESL teacher since 2001 and a Primary teacher since 2006. I have previously taught in Scotland, England, Japan, Taiwan, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. What makes you a good teacher? I became a Primary teacher because, many years ago, I saw how much my aunt enjoyed being a Primary teacher and how much she positively affected the children in her class. I seek to inspire my students through my own personality and enthusiasm. I seek to demonstrate how important and fun learning is. A common language can be found by smiling, laughing, encouraging and by having genuine interaction with the children. Achievements: I would say that I have had some achievements with classes that I have had in the past. For example, helping kindergarten-aged children speak, read, and write English, or helping Grade children prepare for a speech contest. Regarding individual children, I have been lucky enough to have a role in their development. This has been helping children with academic difficulties and helping children with behavioural problems. Lifestyle: When possible, I participate in a number of sports, including football, tennis and badminton. But my main hobby is cycling. In different countries, and a broad range of situations, I have been very lucky to have met a number to incredibly nice and helpful people. Dreams & Ambitions: I would like to visit Lake Baikal, and look for underwater aliens."
