Ms Anna

Country:

United Kingdom

Education:

Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and Open University

Work experience:
I am originally from Wales and studied in London, United Kingdom, before joining CIS Gorki just over three years ago. This is my first experience working abroad, and I am really enjoying life in Moscow.

What makes you a good teacher?
Having previously worked in theatre stage management, I enjoy bringing the best aspects of my former profession—fun, creativity, and imagination—into the classroom. For young children, organisation, clear structure, and consistent routines are essential, alongside creating a caring and supportive environment that nurtures learning. I enjoyed working on children’s shows and productions, as well as caring for young children. This experience sparked a growing interest in discovering the best ways to engage and encourage children’s learning, which ultimately inspired me to pursue this interest as a new profession. I believe the best way to inspire young children is by understanding their interests and identifying how each child learns most effectively in the classroom. It’s important to encourage every child to enjoy completing tasks and discovering new things as independently as possible, while also finding creative ways to make each lesson fun, engaging, and as active as possible.

Achievements:
My children.

Lifestyle:
I love creative pursuits and activities that allow me to spend time in the great outdoors, like kayaking and hill walking.

Dreams & Ambitions:
I am committed to continually developing as an Early Years teacher and creating the most nurturing and engaging classroom environment possible.
