Учитель естественных наук, Кембриджская программа

Country:

Ghana

Education:

K.N. University of Science and Technology, Ghana ; Rostov State Medical University, Rostov Moscow, Pirogov's Russian National Research Medical University, Moscow; University of Derby , England

Work experience:
I have been involved in teaching for 15 years, initially part-time while practicing medicine, before transitioning to full-time. I've had the privilege of teaching in four countries: Ghana, Germany, the United Arab Emirates (Dubai), and I am currently teaching in Russia.

What makes you a good teacher?
My first profession was medicine, where I treated disease. I chose teaching to treat something equally vital: ignorance. In the operating theatre, I could heal one patient at a time. In the classroom, I have the privilege of empowering dozens of future doctors, engineers, and innovators. I transitioned from surgery to teaching because I believe that equipping young minds with scientific curiosity is the most powerful way to heal and improve our world on a grand scale. I don't just teach science from a textbook; I bring it to life from the operating room. I inspire students by connecting every lesson to the real world. When we study biology, I share stories of human anatomy from my surgical experience. Physics becomes the principles behind medical technology, and chemistry is the reactions in pharmaceuticals. I show them that science isn't a subject to be memorized; it's a dynamic, powerful tool they are learning to wield—one that I've used to hold human organs and that they can use to change the future. Finding a common language begins with authentic connection. I bridge the gap between my experience and their world by being genuinely curious about their perspectives. I listen to their ideas, their analogies, and even their misconceptions—because that's where learning starts. I use humour, share relevant stories, and respect their diverse international backgrounds. Ultimately, the universal languages we share are curiosity and ambition. I speak to their potential, and in return, they trust me to guide them towards it.

Achievements:
Transitioning from a successful career as a surgeon to become an educator. I'm most proud of leveraging my unique experience to not just heal patients, but to now inspire and equip the next generation of critical thinkers and scientists across the globe.

Lifestyle:
I believe in a life of balance and service. My personal time is dedicated to maintaining an active mind and body through table tennis, the gym, and singing. I am deeply committed to giving back to my community, regularly visiting and supporting orphanages, widows, the less privileged, and children with disabilities. I also enjoy sharing messages of hope through motivational speaking. Through it all, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends who are a great source of strength and inspiration

Dreams & Ambitions:
Honestly, my dreams are about people, not just projects. My ambition is to be a source of knowledge and inspiration for my students, to be a pillar of support for the vulnerable communities I work with, and to be fully present for the family and friends who give me so much strength. It is my deepest desire to see CIS flourish into a thriving ecosystem where parents, students, and teachers alike genuinely enjoy being part of a shared journey. I dream of us all enjoying the teaching and learning process and strengthening that unique sense of community and family here at CIS
