|
Stewart MacPherson
Head of school, Skolkovo
The advantages of taking the Russian programme along with the British one,
is that it offers children a stronger opportunity in applying to university in Russia.
While the A Level system is recognised by the Russian authorities. The advantage for the
child in also having the British education is that the individual has a broader and deeper
academic development when they start university. While each system is strong in its own regard,
the two combined compliment each other, giving the child greater analytical skills by being able
to think and process information with a greater academic and global awareness.

Deputy Head of School
Exposure to both Russian and English enhances students’ language skills and cognitive abilities.
Multilingualism has been linked to improved problem-solving skills, creativity, and memory retention.
Additionally, the British programme is internationally recognised and respected. By engaging with dual curricula,
students are exposed to diverse cultures, fostering open-mindedness and adaptability. This understanding of
different educational systems and perspectives prepares students for a globalised world.
