Book Review: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

In our new column, we tell you about one children's book which is worth reading for both adults and children. This time we chose the novel “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” by one of the most popular British authors, Roald Dahl.

The main character is a poor boy Charlie Bucket who lives in a small house on the outskirts of the town with six adults. Charlie loves chocolate but he only gets one chocolate bar every year on his birthday as his family can barely afford to buy food.

Every day Charlie walks past the chocolate factory owned by the eccentric chocolate maker Willy Wonka who has closed his factory to the world. One day Wonka announces a private tour to his factory for those who get the Golden Ticket hidden inside one of his chocolate bars. Only five children can get into the mysterious factory, and when the tour is finished, they will receive a lifetime supply of chocolates and candy. Who will win the golden ticket?

This vivid story of the adventures of five kids will captivate adults and keep kids excited and laughing throughout the whole book.
