One book in the CIS Festivalnaya library that I recommend is The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. This book explores the journey taken by four children into a magical world. This world is full of mythical creatures, fantastic magic, and suspense which is sure to please young readers. There is also plenty of symbolism and mature themes for the secondary students to figure out. This book is a perfect introduction to winter and gets the reader into the mood for the upcoming season. As an added bonus, if the reader enjoys this book, it is part of The Chronicles of Narnia. So the reader has six other books to look forward to!
