The children have settled into Year 1 and are working hard.
In English, the children have been learning a new sound every day and using these sounds to create words. We have also looked at the stories ‘Duck in a Truck’ and ‘Fix It Duck’ both by Jez Alborough. The children have explored rhyming words and have enjoyed sequencing and retelling the story.
In maths, the children have been focusing on forming their numbers the correct way. Looking at the number 0-10 we have started to look at simple addition. Children have used cubes to make different amounts.
Our topic this term has being ‘All About Me’. We have looked at our bodies, explored our local area and talked about our friends. We looked at how our friends were similar and how we were different.
This week, the school bell sounded, traditionally opening the new academic year. The guys went to the first classes, where they showed imagination and told each other about themselves with the help of bright drawings.

On June 1st and 2nd, a large-scale conference, the Moscow Model United Nations Conference (MMUN’24), will take place at the CIS Gorki campus.
