Over time, history teaches us that knowledge is power. Education gives us knowledge of the world around us and the ability to change it into something better. It develops a perspective of looking at life in us. It helps us build opinions and have points of view on things in life.

Most of us, even if it was only for a brief or fleeting moment, have had an urge or even just a sliver of hope to change the world for a better place. It was the noble prize winner Nelson Mandela who said: “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. A good head and good heart are always a formidable combination. But when you add to that a literate tongue or pen, then you have something very special.”

Information cannot be converted into knowledge without education. Education makes us capable of interpreting facts, among other things. It is not just about lessons in textbooks. It is about the lessons of life.

Education is the ability to think, apply it in the world and to know the value of life. It isn’t limited to self-education, but to spread knowledge to every human around us. There is no end for education in each of us. In every stage of human life, we learn something new.
