Cambridge Teacher, Primary School

Country:

England

Education:

University of the West of England, Bristol

Work experience:
I have worked as a supply teacher in the UK, teaching children from Nursery up to Year 6. I also spent time in a Forest School, where I taught children practical skills such as fire-lighting and building dens. Beyond the UK, I volunteered in South Africa with a teaching charity, and I have also taught Year 6 in Mexico.

What makes you a good teacher?
I discovered my passion for teaching while working as a nanny in Barcelona, where I taught children English through play, creativity, and everyday conversation. Seeing their excitement and progress inspired me to pursue teaching as a profession, so I could continue helping students learn and grow. I aim to make every lesson engaging and meaningful by designing cross-curricular, creative, and student-led activities. By connecting subjects together and giving students ownership of their learning, I help them see how knowledge applies beyond the classroom and encourage curiosity and independence. I take time to get to know my students as individuals, finding shared interests and building connections based on mutual respect and trust. This helps me create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable, motivated, and confident to express themselves.

Professional achievements:
Certified international curriculum teacher

Personal achievements:
From the age of 14 until 23, I ran my own business before deciding to sell it.

Lifestyle:
Outside of teaching, I am very active and have a love for painting and crafts. I also enjoy travelling, and one of my most memorable experiences was spending 18 hours on a local train across Tanzania — a journey rich in adventure and cultural discovery.

Dreams & Ambitions:
My dream is to continue inspiring and educating students through teaching, while nurturing my passion for creativity by eventually opening an art school alongside my teaching career.
