I am so pleased to join CIS Tashkent and look forward to wonderful year of growing the school, developing the academics, and developing our students’ maturity and international mindedness.
As a teacher, I have always encouraged my students to embrace challenges and acknowledge that reflection provides an opportunity for great leaps in learning and development. I encourage students to appreciate values-based living and education and motivate students into develop mindful, lifelong learners. I hope that students will relate the curriculum and themselves to current and past world events. It is through reflection on these connections, on values, and on their Cambridge learner profile that our students find meaning, engage the community, and develop awareness of their societal responsibility, self-discipline, and international mindedness.
Part of my educational philosophy is a belief that the youth we interact with will become leaders themselves. Thus it is essential, as an educator, to cultivate critical thinkers with strong social skills. Education is about empowerment and developing tomorrow’s leaders. With this in mind, I encourage our students to become lifelong learners by helping them understand that education goes beyond their classroom life - into the community, their careers, and their lives as responsible global citizens.
