Robotics and programming tournament in Skolkovo

Dear parents, we would like to inform you about the upcoming robotics and programming tournament that will take place on the 13^th of April at the Skolkovo campus!

The competition will consist of several stages and will be divided into certain categories:

RoboSkills category (WeDo robotics) and two competitive stages: individual theoretical and team - design:

RoboSkills Jr, ages 4-5, have been studying for up to 1 year on WeDo - designing and programming a robot from a task in the picture, for example, assembling a working prototype of a mixer from a construction set;

RoboSkills Sr, ages 6-7, have been studying for over a year on WeDo - designing a robot to perform certain tasks and on a certain mechanism, for example, designing and programming a robot on a bevel gear that can move independently and stop in front of an obstacle.

The DevRobot category (MindStorms robotics) also includes 2 stages: individual theoretical and team:

DevRobot Jr, 8-9 years old, up to 1 year old - RoboSumo with an ultrasonic sensor and without the mandatory condition of determining the field boundary;

DevRobot Sr, 9+ years old, over 1 year old - Sumo with an ultrasonic sensor and with the mandatory condition of determining the field boundary with a light sensor.

Teams compete with each other in a tournament grid until the semi-finals according to the BO3 (best of 3) system, the final - BO5 (best of 5).

ScratchDev category (Scratch programming, 7+ years old), 2 stages: a theoretical stage, as well as the development of basic rules and programs at the game level according to the task.
Minecraft Education Edition fun zone A section where children can make programs in interesting worlds in a familiar game while their friends\brothers\sisters compete.
