I have nearly 10 years of experience in teaching English and Russian, primarily in Russia. Additionally, I spent two years in France, where I taught Russian language and culture to children, enriching their understanding of the subject.

What makes you a good teacher?

From a young age, I always dreamed of becoming a teacher. I was inspired by my own teachers and wanted to help others learn, just as they helped me. As an RSL and EAL teacher, I love guiding my students through their learning journeys. I inspire them by showing how language opens doors to new cultures and ideas. I use interesting activities and real-life examples to make lessons exciting and relatable. Finding a common language with my students is important, and I focus on understanding their backgrounds and interests. This helps me connect with them better. I believe that learning should be enjoyable and that every student can succeed if we work together.

I know four languages.

I like travelling, swimming and dancing.

MUN: International debate in Korea

Ioana, our Romanian Year 12 student at CIS Skolkovo, got a unique opportunity this year to go to Korea for MUN (Model United Nations), a large—scale event where guys from different countries play the role of UN delegates and strive to solve acute social problems. This conference is hosted by Yale University and is needed to awaken civic engagement in schoolchildren from all over the world.
