Work Experience:

I have 49 years of experience in secondary education, working throughout my career as a science teacher, sports coach, Dean of Students and Principal.

For the past 20 years, I have worked in international education across Egypt, Zambia and China. I have also had the opportunity to help establish and develop new schools, including serving as the founding Principal of a middle school in Shenzhen and a high school in Wuhan.

What Makes Me a Good Head of School?

I believe strong school leadership is built on drive, energy, dedication and genuine engagement with the school community. It is important to me to create an environment where students can reach their potential and teachers feel supported and have opportunities to grow professionally.

Working in different countries and educational environments has taught me the importance of openness, respect for different cultures and the value of a strong school community.

Professional Achievements:

One of my greatest professional achievements is having had the opportunity to work with students and educators around the world for nearly five decades.

I hold an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and completed the Principal’s Academy at Harvard University. As a school leader, I have helped establish new schools and led educational institutions in international settings.

Personal Achievements:

My family is one of the most important parts of my life. My wife, Imee (May), and our three children are based in the Philippines, where our children are currently studying at universities.

Hobbies:

In my free time, I enjoy reading, walking, swimming and exploring new places. Sport has also always been an important part of my life, and I have coached both football (soccer) and wrestling.

Dreams and Aspirations:

I hope to continue sharing my experience and knowledge while helping students and educators grow and achieve their goals. I want to contribute to building a strong school community where every student feels supported and has the opportunity to prepare for a successful future.
