What makes you a good teacher?

I chose teaching because I am passionate about helping students reach their full potential and making a positive impact on their lives. I believe that education is key to opening doors for future opportunities. I inspire students by creating engaging, relevant lessons that connect the material to their real-life experiences. I use interactive activities, stories, and examples that spark curiosity and encourage them to explore further. I built a common language with active listening and showing genuine interest in their individual needs, backgrounds, and experiences. I establish a respectful and supportive classroom atmosphere where students feel comfortable expressing themselves.

Achievements:

My key strengths include effective communication, supporting inclusive practices, and adapting my teaching methods to meet the needs of ESL students. I am also skilled at using ICT to enhance the learning process.

Ioana, our Romanian Year 12 student at CIS Skolkovo, got a unique opportunity this year to go to Korea for MUN (Model United Nations), a large—scale event where guys from different countries play the role of UN delegates and strive to solve acute social problems. This conference is hosted by Yale University and is needed to awaken civic engagement in schoolchildren from all over the world.
