Work experience:
3 years in Russia.
What makes you a good teacher?
I chose my profession because I wanted to find job satisfaction by helping others. I try to inspire my students by showing them how the subject is connected to the city around them: St Petersburg - and the country as a whole. This city is steeped in history, so it's an easy job. I find a common language by showing them I understand their frames of reference: youth/internet culture, and their sense of humour.
Achievements:
Becoming a person who knows he has made a positive impact on the lives of others, and helped them to better themselves.
Lifestyle:
I love travelling in Russia. I've visited over twenty cities, now, and I love seeing the different cultures, architecture, and history everywhere I go. Memorable experiences include visiting the Arctic Circle, a banya in Kazan, the mountain villages of Dagestan, the towers of Vladikavkaz, and four different seas in Russia. I like to play the violin, do Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and attend cultural performances such as opera, classical music, and ethnic dances.
Dreams & Ambitions:
In the future I want to become competent at playing the violin, and have a family.
