I believe I am a good teacher because I know how to build trusting relationships with my students and inspire their interest in my subject. I chose teaching as a profession because I am passionate about encouraging children to be curious about everything new and unexplored. To engage my students, I try to make my lessons as connected to the real world as possible. I use real-life cases for discussion and incorporate a variety of activities, including group work, pair work, individual tasks and projects. This helps make not only the subject itself interesting, but the learning process as well. Building a good rapport with my students starts with creating a safe and supportive environment. I always remind them that making mistakes is not a bad thing, and that asking questions is neither bad nor foolish. My students know that even if they tell me “I don’t understand” ten times, I will explain it again. I also take their problems and difficulties seriously, without judgement or dismissing them as something insignificant. I want every student to feel that they can speak openly, ask for help and learn at their own pace.

Successfully supported students from the Social Care Centre in gaining admission to the Investigative Committee Cadet Corps. Successfully prepared students for their OGE examinations in English and Russian, with students achieving grades 4 and 5.

Hiking, travelling — particularly in Latin America and to the volcanoes of Indonesia — living in Vietnam for a year, and crafts.

To visit every continent and inspire those around me to explore the world.
