Work experience:

I have been teaching English since 2021, working with both children and adults. My experience has primarily been with primary-aged students, supporting their language development and helping them become more confident in using English.

What makes you a good teacher?

I find great joy in helping children grow in confidence and achieve their milestones. As an ESL teacher, I aim to make English accessible, engaging and meaningful by connecting lessons to students’ interests and using games, creativity and real-life contexts. I build positive relationships with students by listening to them, showing genuine interest in what they enjoy and creating a safe classroom environment where they feel comfortable expressing themselves and making mistakes. I believe that mistakes are an important part of learning, and I try to lead by example by showing students that we are all lifelong learners.

Professional achievements:

One of my key professional achievements has been developing the confidence and skills to plan and deliver creative, engaging ESL lessons while adapting my teaching to students’ individual needs and language levels.

Personal achievements:

I am especially proud of earning a black belt in karate. The journey taught me discipline, resilience and perseverance, and these qualities continue to influence both my personal and professional life.

Lifestyle:

Outside school, I enjoy yoga and pottery. Yoga helps me stay balanced and mindful, while pottery gives me a chance to relax, be creative and try something new.
