Skolkovo Campus launches new 'Pre-Nursery' class from 2.5 years old

What distinguishes successful and motivated people? Good genetics? Proper parenting? Discipline? Willpower?

They are distinguished by their childhood.

Scientists have proven that in the first years of life, about 1 million neural connections are formed in the human brain every second. At this time, the baby actively learns about the world and draws fundamental conclusions about it. This means that the first emotions he experiences in connection with his studies determine the level of his motivation throughout his life.

Curiosity, an inquisitive mind, and a thirst for discovery can all be boasted by children who enjoyed educational activities at a very young age. That is why it is so important to create a favorable environment for a child from an early age in which he will enjoy the educational process.

The Cambridge International School is an example of such an environment. This year we are launching the Pre-Nursery program, that is, a program for the development of children aged 2 to 3 years.

Here are some reasons why we should entrust the kids:

English since childhood

First of all, we are proud to have foreign specialists who teach classes in English. Next to them, a child's chance of growing up bilingual increases - that is, a person who is fluent in two languages.

Non-boring educational activities

All our teachers show sensitivity and care towards children, pay attention to their interests and select activities in which the children could realize themselves. All the lessons are intense, but small, so that the children are busy but not bored.

We focus on developing fine motor skills, language and social skills, as well as emotional intelligence.

The lesson will begin with a warm-up, a game or a song, and the main part will be to achieve some goal. For example, the whole group needs to find colorful bears in soap suds, then arrange them by color and count. As soon as the guys complete this task, we will sing the song again to consolidate the new vocabulary and acquired skills.

Convenience and safety

There are always three staff members in the classroom: a teacher, a teacher's assistant, and a babysitter. They never leave children unattended.

All the furniture in the classroom is fixed to the walls and specially designed by certified companies for children and use in schools.

In addition, our classrooms are divided into areas where children are comfortable studying. These include a reading corner, a place for games, a place for math, creativity, and so on.

All materials are selected specifically for this age group, and toys and accessories are checked daily by staff for dirt and damage. At the same time, we change them every two weeks so that children are always interested in all activities.

Nutrition, sleep and hygiene at the highest level

We offer 3 meals a day and two snacks a day. The staff eats with the children and shows them how to sit properly, use dishes and behave during meals.

At the same time, parents can always discuss their child's allergies with the school doctor so that he makes up a separate menu.

As for hygiene, our kindergarten has its own bathroom with understated toilets and sinks. Our staff always accompanies children to it to help them if necessary.

Sleep is carried out in a separate room. Each child has his own bed with a sign with his name on it. The assistant helps the children change into their pajamas, the teacher reads a story, and then the babysitters stay to look after the children when they sleep. Daytime sleep is carried out after lunch at the request of the parents and lasts as long as necessary. When the children wake up, they can return to the classroom, where the teacher will meet them and offer them snacks and activities.

Regular communication with parents

We understand that parents are the main teachers in every child's life. Therefore, we always listen to their opinion and make sure that they are aware of all developments. To do this, we use online platforms to discuss our educational approaches and the success of their children.
