I have over 11 years of experience as a teacher, primarily in international schools in Colombia, and I’m now in my second year of teaching at CIS in Moscow.

What makes you a good teacher?

As an ICT teacher, I chose this profession because I’m passionate about the power of technology to transform the way we live, learn, and work. I inspire my students by showing them how ICT is not just about coding or video games, but about solving real-world problems and driving innovation in every industry. I make the subject relatable by connecting lessons to everyday experiences and future opportunities. Finding a common language with my students comes naturally through collaboration—by encouraging them to ask questions, share their ideas, and explore technology hands-on, I create a space where they feel confident and engaged.

Achievements:

One of the things I’m most proud of in my life is the impact I’ve had as a teacher, helping students from different cultures and backgrounds develop the skills they need for the future. My journey has taken me from Colombia to Moscow, and being able to inspire curiosity and confidence in my students, no matter where they are from, is incredibly fulfilling. Additionally, I’m proud of my own continuous growth and adaptability, both professionally and personally, as I’ve embraced new challenges and opportunities along the way.

Lifestyle:

I enjoy meditation as a way to stay centered and balanced. I also love spending quality time with my family, whether it’s watching movies together or playing games, which brings us closer. One of the most memorable aspects of traveling for me is the intercultural exchange. I believe that learning from different cultures broadens our perspectives and helps us become more global citizens. It’s always enriching to see how diverse and interconnected the world is.

Dreams & Ambitions:

My dreams and ambitions revolve around continuing to make a meaningful impact in education, especially through technology. I aspire to inspire more students to become innovative thinkers and global citizens, equipped with the digital skills needed for the future. I also aim to further my professional growth by staying at the forefront of educational technology, contributing to the development of more inclusive and dynamic learning environments. On a personal level, I hope to keep exploring new cultures, deepening my understanding of the world, and sharing these experiences with my family.
