On the 22nd of February we celebrated a popular Russian holiday: Day of the Defenders of the Motherland.
We invited our fathers to school to spend some time together with their children. Fathers were playing games together with us, catching soap bubbles with pre-nursery, making cards and completing challenging crosswords with Year 2 children. Fathers of Year 1 had an exciting snow fight between two teams and then they competed in making and flying airplanes. In the reception classes they had a competition in teams, to make the most interesting snowman. They used paints and a plethora of interesting objects to bring their snowmen to life. Year 3 enjoyed their time performing for their Fathers and Nursery fathers left colorful footprints for a happy memory of their time together.
