Hats off to everyone involved in the Spelling Bee in December. The audience was incredibly selfcontrolled, enthusiastically applauding correct spellings but keeping a poker face when mistakes were made or self-corrected. Our contestants (Kim, Deniz, Liza, Ali, Said, Ema and Nimet) did exceptionally well in the midst of all the changes and rose to the challenge of performing in front of the whole Secondary School. Well done to our runner up, Ali, who missed the bronze by a whisker.
Congratulations to Deniz for bronze, Liza for silver and gold for Nimet. Your medals were welldeserved.
