During the first-year robotics club, the students designed autonomous “Sumo Robots” that faced off in a friendly competition.
The objective of the event was to introduce the emerging field of robotics to primary school students. The students worked extremely hard throughout the year. Firstly designing, then building and programming their robots in anticipation of this event.
At the tournament two robots competed against each other to try to push each other out of a circle or 'ring'. CIS Robotics Club members built eight individually designed robots entitled 'Cool Bots','Grimusnik','Tigers', 'Future Fighters', 'Kamaz','G Force’, ‘Golden Eagle' and MaxRus.
