Secondary education normally starts for most students at the age of 11 years old and ends with students taking the internationally recognised Cambridge IGCSE exams. Formed of two periods, for the first three years (Lower Secondary) students will study a broad range of subjects such as Maths, Sciences, English, Music, etc. When they reach 14-years-old they enter into a 2-year Upper Secondary phase that prepares them for the IGCSEs.

The core subjects in Secondary school are English, Mathematics, Science, History and Geography. Other subjects include ICT, Music, Art and Design, Physical Education, and Spanish.
Lower Secondary includes sets of tests: Cambridge Lower Secondary Progression Tests and Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint.
