Mr Rupert

Cambridge teacher, Math teacher

Mr Rupert

Country:

South Africa

Education:

University of Cape Town

Work experience:
Over 30 years in South Africa, China, Saudi Arabia, India, New Zealand, Myanmar

What makes you a good teacher?
I was inspired by people who taught me. I realised that I could make a difference in people's lives. Math was not easy for me in school, so I can encourage students to develop a serious work ethic in this subject without giving up. I challenge students to recognise the beauty and elegance of math. Math is already a common language for us; we need to use it to communicate clearly.

Achievements:
My beautiful and independent daughter. The fact that I am in good health. The fact that I have followed advice that has led to some good investments

Lifestyle:
Sport: running to stay fit, cricket, football. Travelling: visiting Taj Mahal, Wadi Rum, The Dead Sea, Petra, pyramids in Cairo pyramids, Shanghai, Great Wall of China

Dreams & Ambitions:
To own one or more properties as a retirement home in the next few years. Maintain good health and shape; make new friends; continue to enjoy teaching; travel some more in Central Asia; perhaps visit some unusual countries in the future.
