Trip to museum of Great Patriotic War

On the 6th, 7th and 8th of November CIS Skolkovo went on a trip to the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War on Poklonnya Hill.

Year three participated in the military-historical journey of "Zemlyanka". The pupils were involved in practical exercises during a demonstration of weapons from World War II. They heard about the life of the soldiers involved guerrillas warfare and dressed up in military uniform also. The pupils marvelled at the six dioramas and then ate refreshments at headquarters.

Year 5 and 7 took part in a tour that allowed them imagine what activities they would partake in during the Second World War. The pupils initially got opportunity to visit the exhibition of unique war vehicles, look at and discuss them, with a very interesting tour guide. Following that, they proceeded yo learn about daily war-life, learning what they needed to carry in their backpacks, what each item was and then look at a variety of guns, warfare and grenades. They ate typical food from the field kitchen, while dressed in military gear.
