After a delay caused by a bout of chickenpox, the Year 1 & 2 classes were finally cleared to visit Kolomenskoye Palace. We discovered it was worth the wait. The palace is a beautiful wooden building that has been restored and it was very impressive sight as we drove up the main driveway.
Each class went on a tour of the palace and our guides were dressed up in wonderful outfits worn at the time the palace was being used. Each room we visited was set up with the furniture, artwork and equipment that was once used and it helped us to understand how life was at that time. We were very greatful that we got to see such an amazing and interesting place and would definitely recommend it if you have never been there!
We invite you to beautiful Meshchersky Park to take part in the Cambridge Mile 2024 on 31th May!
