I moved to Moscow for one year in 2011 and, as the end of 2018 approaches, I am somehow still here! There's obviously something about the country that is working for me - I even enjoyed two years of living in Siberia! But in all seriousness, I really do enjoy living in this amazing country, and in particular Saint Petersburg - I feel privileged to work and reside in the most beautiful city I have ever visited. The contrast between summer and winter is spectacular - the place literally becomes two different cities. The short days of winter can be a drag, but the astonishing 'white nights' of summer more than compensate - there is something wonderfully surreal about being outside at 1am and watch the sun rising!
