Spanish Day

On the 29th of March we had the opportunity to celebrate ‘Spanish Day’ at Moscow campus.

All students in KS1 Year 1 and Year 2sang and danced to a Spanish song, even the little ones from Early Years joined us and had great fun. It was great to see how much enthusiasm they put into learning the song as the performance.

Students of Years 3 to 6 took part in a competition where they needed to guess the right animal. In Spanish lessons, for the last two weeks we have been learning about the habitat, diet, and characteristics of different animals. The classes were divided into 6 groups, 2 for each house. It was an exciting and challenging event. The winner was the   House of Sharks with 430 points, Eagles finished a little behind with 420 points.

Year 7-Year 9 students had been learning about vocabulary related to cities and specifically work related to visiting restaurants. We thought, what better way to practice how to order food than going to a proper restaurant, where the waiters were all from Latin America. The students had the chance to order and try different traditional dishes such as quesadillas, tacos, flautas and of course, as a desert, churros.
