As you already know, Global perspectives develops the skills of research, analysis, evaluation, reflection, collaboration and communication. In order to support this development, we organized some trips.
During the trip, week we’ve visited many exciting places. Everyone has researched about different sea creatures. Our first trip was to the Oceanarium, where we learned more about the magical underwater world. We researched about different sea creatures, saw hundreds of species of fish and marine animals. Students were impressed by sharks, octopuses, stingrays, piranhas, and penguins!
Then we visited the Robot station – an interactive exhibition of robots. They met different robots, analyzed how they work and found out that each robot has its character: one of them is very talkative and likes telling stories, another one is really smart – it can answer difficult questions and even solve riddles. Most of all our students enjoyed a friendly robot that likes hugging.
The next trip was to the Money Museum. We saw over 4,000 exhibit items that feature rarities from 200 countries. We evaluate the most unusual money of past times, and the calculation units of exotic lands, as well as modern banknotes.
Another interesting place was the Central House of Aviation and Cosmonautics of Russia. We saw world-class exhibits, an incredible number of plane models, learned about famous engineers and pilots. We also learned how the plane could fly, and built our models of a glider.
On October 6-7, our students had an exciting trip to St. Petersburg. During these two days, we visited the main sights: the Imperial Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum, where A.S. Pushkin studied; went to the observation deck of St. Isaac's Cathedral and enjoyed the view of the city; visited miniature models of St. Petersburg and Grand Model of Russia. But most of all students liked the grandeur and luxury of the Yusupov Palace.
Those days were full of events. Besides all the excursions, our students cooked their pizzas under the directions of Jamie’s Italian cooks.
This trip left unforgettable impressions in our memory, and we look forward to the next one!
